Президент на „Америка за България“ / President and CEO of the “America for Bulgaria” Foundation
With all due respect, I would like to ask you to leave Bulgaria.
I do not know if you see what I see, but I will try to explain what I mean as a gentleman.
It would be bad if you are not an American philanthropist, but a politician.
Your efforts ruin my country. I believe you have no right to be a mentor and an influencer for the sake of a „new progressive humanity.“ I lived here when the Russians did the same thing you are doing now. And I’m already sorry for the Russians – I cannot believe that I am saying this, but it comes as a result of your efforts. They had another approach. I believe America has a lot to learn historically, morally and emipirically from Bulgaria, and that the opposite would be absurd. Please, have a look at the diagram in this article and please – understand me correctly.
We have never been guilty of problems like racism, genocide, and bad attitude towards sexual minorities. Historically, we have been terribly mistreated, but today you are treating us as if we were children. And what is worse is that apparently you think you can manipulate my nation and its history. This is not fair game and we know it.
Your efforts are positive, but have zero or negative results. You are spending the money of the Great American taxpayer with the terribly dubious quality of your last achievements. Your message and your supposed goodwill just fill the pockets of ours and foreign shufflers.
Neither children, nor minorities, nor women, nor the sexually different benefit from what you are doing. Look around.
Your business compromises the idea of Freedom and America which I grew up with. The worst result we see is the one about freedom of speech. We are at the bottom of the chart of countries who have freedom of speech. Therefore, I want you to understand me as a journalist – everything happens with your help or, I hope, because of your ignorance. You are making irreparable damages today by trying to launch a new social order and by doing this you dubiously remind us of the ideas of Marx and Trotsky and the panliberal course of Hillary Clinton. This will not work here, and do not look at the smiles of those who receive money from you.
Your efforts are happening (or not happening) in my country thanks to the infamous patience of the Bulgarian people, but also because of the political class and the pseudo-intelligence – two groups that are ready to do anything for money. These groups will disappoint you because they do not care who their master is. However, the nation will not tolerate a master. We have a word about this and it is „janissaries“. These are the “small souls” that are sold to the present day Big Brother, and they ruin your philanthropic ideas and the nobility of your original idea.
Of course, the above words will only be true, if you are a philanthropist, and not a politician.
Be careful not to be disappointed by Bulgaria. This state is like thick weed, relentless and unspoiled, and it is vivacious in every Empire and survives every historical storm.
With all due respect to you as a lady and an American citizen, I want you to understand me properly. The non-governmental organizations you finance are failing you and me both at the same time. I have become part of a vanishing and disappointed nation, and you have no success in your endeavours which I hope are not strictly business.
The power will be with us, the Bulgarians, when you give us the opportunity to work freely, according to our traditions and in our best interest. This will sound naive to many people, but I am obliged to tell you all this and to end by stating the fact that my nation’s hope has never been as strong as these last years.
It’s a hope that does not need a Foundation and money in order to be a reality.
